Asian American and Asian Students

The University of Minnesota has a vast array of Asian and Asian American academic, cultural and community groups to become involved with on campus.

The University of Minnesota Twin Cities is designated by the U.S. Department of Education as an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI). To be eligible for AANAPISI status and funding, institutions must have an AAPI student population of 10% or more and demonstrate initiatives that support AAPI students.

Asian Pacific American Resource Center (APARC)

The Asian Pacific American Resource Center (APARC) cultivates a community committed to education and AAPI empowerment. APARC supports students by fostering belonging, affirming identities, and providing resources to thrive in college and beyond. APARC is a space for all students, embracing diversity and respect.
